#1 Clemson Tigers
Offense: What more can be said about Trevor Lawrence. This guy will be the #1 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. He is the man! RB Travis Etienne is back and he should and will have another monster year for the Tigers. Last year he averaged 8.1 yards per carry (that’s crazy). At WR Lawrence has a lot of weapons. Justyn Ross and Tee Higgins are back and he has 2 very talented Fr. in Joseph Ngata and Frank Ladson that will get some burn. OLine is a very solid group. Clemson will put up a ton of points this year offensively and they are scary good!
Defense: Defense lost a lot of great players last year, especially the DLine. But the Tigers will reload and be just fine. Three huge pieces are returning. Isiah Simmons/K’Von Wallace and Tanner Muse will be huge for this Defense this year! Lookout for pass rusher KJ Henry to have a nice Freshmen season and be a big contributor more towards the end of the year!
Prediction: Clemson will roll through this schedule and be double digit favorites in probably every game this year. Back to back weeks very early in the year, 9/7 vs Texas A&M and 9/14 at Syracuse will be the biggest tests for them and if they get through those games, they will be 12-0 and be in the Playoffs once again! We will predict they get those through those games and will be 12-0!

#4 Oklahoma Sooners
Offense: Jalen Hurts takes over at QB. Hurts is a very good QB, but honestly just do not think he fits into this offense that well. Hurts likes to keep the ball in his hands way to long and likes to play at a slower pace. The complete opposite of what the Sooners want to do. Having said that he still should put up some big numbers. RBs Trey Sermon and Brooks will give him a lot of play action opportunities. Both these guys will put up huge numbers in the run game. CeeDee Lamb is the 2nd best WR in the country. He is the real deal, catches everything and is such a smart player! Also, look out for super star in the making in Jadon Haselwood! O Line could be an issue having 4 starters graduate last year.
Defense: Defense has a new DC and 9 returning starters from last year. LB Kenneth Murray is the best player on this defense and will lead this group. They had a hard time getting off the field this year and they play a bend but don’t break style. They know their offense will put up a ton of points.
Prediction: Jalen Hurts will lead them into a great year, but will lose in the 1st round of the playoffs. This team will look to outscore their opponents all year and based on their schedule they will do so. We see an undefeated season for the Sooners and a trip to the Playoffs!! Just do not see them getting passed a Alabama/Clemson in the 1st round.

#7 Michigan Wolverines
Offense: The new style of offense Michigan is bringing in this year suits Shea Patterson perfectly!! He should have a big year and put up some big numbers! RBs returning are Christian Turner and Tru Wilson. Many people are saying the Wolverines will miss Higdon but we believe these 2 guys will be just fine and have nice seasons especially Turner! WRs will be another bright spot in Peoples-Jones is back and Collins/Bell/Black are all returning. O Line is a big strength too returning 4 starters from last season. The Wolverines will look a little different in offense and that is a good thing! We expect big things!
Defense: The Wolverines lost a lot of key players from last years team. D Line returns Kemp/Dwumfour and Hutchinson that should help with the consistency. This defense otherwise will have a lot of new faces and will be very young but talented. It might take them a few weeks to adjust but by the end of the year the will be in good shape.
Prediction: We are expecting BIG things from the Wolverines this year!! They should be ready to go on offense and their defense will be just fine. A couple real tough games on the schedule but it will all come down to the final game vs Ohio State to see if they get into the BIG 10 Championship or not. We are thinking a 11-2 record from the Wolverines and a trip to the New Year’s Six Bowl!

#10 Texas Longhorns
Offense: If Sam Ehlinger can stay healthy all year, he should be a top of the list for Heisman talk. 2 RBs in the mix that should both have solid years are Ingram and Whittington. WR has 2 big time play makers! Devin DuVernay is 6’6 and will be used in the Red Zone all year plus speedy freshemn Bru McCoy should be a big part of this offense. O Line has some moving parts and a couple new faces but should be a bright spot for this team as well!
Defense: There is only 2 returning starters for this defense. Brandon Jones and super star Caden Sterns have to hold down there fort. The D Line and LBs will have some trouble at the start of the year but should get better as the year goes on.
Prediction: I think this team is seeing LSU at the wrong time. So we will be on LSU in that game. Other then Oklahoma they will be favored in all the other games this season. We see the Longhorns going 10-3 and going back to a major bowl game!!

#18 UCF KNIGHTS
Offense: The Knights would love to see McKenzie Milton back as I would too (HUGE FAN OF HIS), but that just will not happen this year. They will rely on Darriel Mack who did a great job filling in last year or ND transfer Brandon Wimbush. Both guys have similar styles and I expect both guys to see the field at some point. A very solid group at RB with McCrae, Killins Jr. and Anderson who all complement each other very well! Kilins is a speed demon who will break a bunch of runs this year. Anderson will be both RB and slot WR. Big time WR also coming back in Gabriel Davis! OLine has 4 returning starters. Look out again for this offense to put up some major yards and points with their style! Just wish we were seeing Milton in control. Until next year!
Defense: The Knights return a bunch of their secondary guys, which is huge b/c they will be playing with the lead in most of their games. So these guys will see a lot of action. Grant, Clarke and Moore lead this group. D Line is a question mark with a bunch of new guys. LB Nate Evans is back and he is the real deal!!
Prediction: Look for a bunch of shootouts again with this team! I love watching these guys play and betting on the Over! Especially with a questionable D this year they have to outscore their opponents! We have the Knights finishing 11-2 and return to another New Year’s Six Bowl!!

#22 Syracuse Orange
Offense: Tommy DeVito will get the starting nod for the Orange. He did not look too good when he came into games last year when Dungey went down to injury. Syracuse likes to play very fast so they need DeVito to have a good year to run their style of offense. RB has a ton of depth. Moe Neal is a vet and is a reliable back. Watch out for Abdul Adams to get a bunch of touches in this offense too. WR are key to this offense performing well. Sean Riley and Nykeim Johnson are both back and they are similar to each other. Taj Harris is a guy to watch out for! O Line took a hit with 3 guys graduating. Two guys they are counting on are Ryan Alexander and Dakota Davis to step up. If DeVito can have a big year, look for the Orange offense to put up some big numbers and points! They play very fast, all depends on DeVito.
Defense: The Orange defense should have no problem at all rushing the passer with Alton Robinson and Kendall Coleman! The secondary has 2 seniors to hold it down with Chris Fredrick and Evan Foster. LB’s are a concern for the Orange. They need Lakiem Williams and Andrew Armstrong to get these young guys ready for ACC action.
Prediction: The Orange season comes down to 1 game. 9/14 at home vs Clemson! They shocked the world and beat them the last time the Tigers came to the dome! Can they do it again? We are going to say they come up short but the Orange still finish in the Top 25 and go to a major bowl! Orange finish the year 9-3!

#24 Iowa State
Offense: Brock Purdy did a great job last year for the Cyclones and they will count on him to do the same this year! Replacing Montgomery at RB will be tough. They have a bunch of options to choose from and need 1 of these guys to step up in Nwangwu, Croney and Lang. Another big time weapon for Purdy left too at WR in Butler. Two vets in Milton and Deshaunte Jones will need to play bigger roles in this offense. All 5 O Line are returning. That will help out huge!
Defense: Iowa State will again have a big time defense. A lot of guys returning from a great group last year. D Line will have Bailey and Lima back and watch out for Jamahl Johnson to have another huge year! The question marks are in the secondary. They will have a bunch of new guys along with Greg Eisworth who they will need to count on to get the younger guys up to speed!
Prediction: A lot of new guys on offense and in the secondary gives me some concern with this team. They have to replace their two best options on offense (not good). The defense should be good but they will have a hard time keeping up with the points being scored in the Big 12 vs Oklahoma/Texas. We have the Cyclones this year at 7-5.
